Update on Ava...

We've been working with CHOP (Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia) since we got Ava's referral last September. Once the babies come home they like to do a full medical exam and have an occupational therapist evalutate them. We went on May 7th and they were thrilled with what they saw and said she looked great. They took about 12 vials of blood from this child and we finally got all the results back this week...everything was normal! This is such a relief...we feel so blessed.

She's doing wonderfully...she's crawling all over the place and even up steps (we have a step down into our family room which she's going up, but won't go down...just sits and whines until we carry her down which is kind of funny...I'm sure she'll figure it out soon!) She's pulling herself up and cruising along anything that stands still. She waves, claps, gives kisses and does "So Big!". She absolutely adores her brothers and loves to climb all over them. She also enjoys being spun around by her brother Brian. She's still sleeping all night in her crib and napping there twice a day (god bless her soul). We're still waiting on some teeth, but managing to gum a lot of food like cheerios, arrowroot cookies, Gerber puffs and cheddar cheese. She's eating much better and we're down to 3 bottles/day.

So overall her progress has been amazing, she's smart as a whip and adds so much joy to our family. Her baptism is this Sunday, 6/8, so next week I'll update on how it went and put up the pictures. Hope everyone has a great week!

So glad to hear Ava is doing well. I know you used to visit Ariana's blog, so, if you want, you can stop by Ben's blog, www.keepingthefaithadoption.blogspot.com if you want to see our new Guatemalan blessing, who was born in Texas!
