After the bad start we had a really good finish. Wednesday was great, the traveling on Thursday couldn't have gone smoother. Everything was on time or early, immigration was easy (only 10 minutes in "the room") and Ava was angelic the whole day. She slept all the way from Guat to Houston and even slept thru immigration. Then she woke up and was happy and laughing. Then she slept more on the flight from Houston to Newark. Then she slept again in the carseat on the way home (she is just like her Mommy...any kind of motion machine knocks her out).
We were met at the airport with smiles and balloons. She gave everyone smiles & laughs & they all fell in love immediately (how could you not?!?) She smiles everytime she sees the boys and the boys...well, they are still adjusting to Ava and what it means to have a baby in the house...something they've never experienced. But they are starting to be very sweet with her (honestly, I think they're scared of her...like they'll break her or something). But they're getting lots of attention from daddy and are doing just fine.
She went down at 11pm on Thursday night after a long day of traveling and slept all the way thru until 9:30am...and she did the same thing last night. She is amazing. She seems very comfortable with the house and her surroundings. She's playing and rolling all over the floor. She can even sit herself up from a laying position...she is strong like bull! And she gets up on her knees and then Mommy puts her back on her back because Mommy is not ready for crawling yet!! (Although I don't think its too far off now!)
She went on an outing this morning to see her brothers play their 1st baseball game. She had a good time in her stroller eating her toes while her brothers creamed the competition! They are AMAZING ball players for their age and they ruled the field! It was nice to be out as a family of five.
So all in all everything is going well now and we couldn't be happier with how she is adjusting to us and her new home. She is a little doll and we couldn't love her more.
