So now that our agency has rec'd our I171H approval, we are officially on the waiting list for girls as of Monday, May 21st...yay!
At our agency there are 2 lists, one for boys & one for girls. If a couple is open to gender they go on both lists. The boy list is a lot shorter than the girl list at our agency (and I think at most agencies); I can't tell you why that is. The wait for a boy is currently 2-6 weeks. The wait for a girl is currently 14-16 weeks. So the 14 week mark for us is Aug. 27th. We hope to hear something by then.
