So tomorrow, 2/13, will be our FINAL homestudy visit at the house. So as soon as I can get our social worker all of our paperwork, he will be able to write the report. He thinks we'll have the final report by mid-March!! :]
In other good news, we also found out that our Child Abuse forms were returned to the agency and, of course, the reports came back clean...we are NOT child abusers. Still waiting on the results of our fingerprints through Sagem Morpho...oh yes, the State Police clearance was not enough...this was a different fingerprinting through this company Sagem Morpho. The right hand doesn't seem to talk to the left hand in this world of adoption paperwork...oh well!
Our reference letters are also in the works. We have asked Alicia (our friend & Craig's boss), Tim (our neighbor & Craig's former boss) and Bob (our friend from Craig's last job at Laureate Pharma) to write our letters. We have Alicia's letter and as soon as we get the other two they can be signed and notarized and we'll be done with that!
I also started to talk to the boys about adoption. Just real basic stuff...what is adoption? what is international adoption? I also showed them a map of North America and showed them where NJ is and where Guatemala is. I asked them what they would think if we flew to Guatemala and brought a baby home to NJ. Brian said that would be cool; Justin said that would be neat. Then they said...can we finish our video game now??? LOL...what do you expect from two 5 yr olds?!?
Thanks for reading,
Jen :]
